Stadia update?

Come on, what's the real hold up with these updates? I, and everyone else bought (and actually pre-ordered!) Humankind on Stadia with full expectation that it would be the same complete updated game everyone else is having on the other platforms. This is inexcusable; I've paid for an incomplete game. Please push the updates and other features on Stadia as soon as possible -- and then if Mods truly aren't a possibility, at least a real Earth map would be wonderful to have as well.

I echo people's sentiments. I also pre-ordered Humankind on Stadia. Is not our money as good as a PC gamer's money? I know we are not as many in number as other platforms, but we deserve better customer support than this. It should be a matter of principle to treat all paying customers equally. Please can you try better. Thank you very much.

It'll prolly be the same way on xbox and Playstation as well with updates. That's how stellaris and other strategy games are on console.

I have been posting a lot in the thread and at this moment I feel really letdown. Even when I think of playing Humankind I still end up with Cities Skylines for instance, simply because of the fact I KNOW Humankind (on Stadia) is not getting the same love as on other platforms.

Yes, Stellaris for instance, is also behind on updates on consoles, BUT that game first launched on PC and then got ported to consoles. So at the time the development team started on the port, another team probably worked on updates for PC. In the end: that will create a bit of catching up that needs to be done? (Btw, Stellaris on console is kinda catching up now?)

But Humankind launched on Stadia at the exact same day as the PC version: there is simply no excuse. Yes, updates need to be ported so I guess a few days to weeks is okay. But now we are months and months behind without any excuse or any apolopy, while we did pay for the same experience as PC players. I really feel this should be a story living outside of the Amplitude forums because there is no traction at all.

I think you' re absolutely right, I paid full price for the digital deluxe version but all I got is the crappy outdated one

At this point I'd take a key for my platform of choice, not the best solution, but it's an offer.

You have a team, or contracted out a team/person, to may video announcements about PC updates, but you won even own this on Twitter? Speaking of Twitter . . . . Any ideas on a good #?

Same here. I only have a macbook air so stadia is perfect for me and Humankind works perfectly on it. If Amplitude are going to treat some platforms like Stadia as second class they should have been given a lower price to pay. I am not going to play this until it gets a full update as I find it a bit upsetting

Why does the game not tell us clearly which version is running. it seems odd that we have to test the version by looking at specific features that are said to have changed.

Hey all,

First off, sorry about the confusion (and following disappointment) regarding the Bolivar Update pop-up. We had an issue with the pop-up system where this message was unintentionally released to all platforms instead of only those that received the update.

And we’re sorry about the long period of silence, too. We don’t like leaving you without information, and we would have liked to give you a definite answer, but we did not have a reliable release estimate to give you. Even now, the best answer we can give is that the next patch should arrive alongside the console release. After that, Stadia updates should line up with Console updates, as working in parallel on the different platforms should create a more efficient pipeline for us and the partner we work with on both ports. However, the rhythm of updates will probably still be slower than on PC/Mac.

Will the update bring parity between platforms, even if it will fall behind pc again?

Stadia is not shutting down. Rest assured we're always working on bringing more great games to the platform and Stadia Pro. Let us know if you have other questions.

Stadia logo is at the end of the trailer.

Probably a mistake, but maybe

Any update on a Stadia update or should we all try to claim the game back as you don't intend to support Stadia!

If this new expansion DLC wouldn't be available on Stadia with the two previous ones, shouldn't we band and ask for a collective refund ?

Is it even possible as we are already 3 updates behind ?

Isn't it the perfect definition of a scam ? We pay to feed other players that pay Amplitude... reeeeally looks like a Ponzi scheme.

Yea, I tend to agree with you. And again there is a trailer for DLC WITH THE STADIA LOGO and once again we probably arent going to get it as the Devs said in this thread. We are getting aligned with consoles, which means we still have to wait a while and even then we will get the SAME as consoles although the STADIA version EXISTS since PC.

This company should really be ashamed of itself. I was so extremely hyped for this game. I have been watching all these streamers like GamerZakh etc before the launch, followed all the social media and was so happy to finally start with the game. I played hunderds of hours already, but I just cannot play it anymore because:

  1. They said the game was crossplay up until 2 days or something BEFORE launch... Scam
  2. I paid the same price as PC players, but am totally left in the dark in terms of timed events, DLC and even regular updates. And this news about being aligned with consoles makes it even worse. We are definitely being downplayed here.
  3. The support from this developer is so "standard company like". Don't reply on social media, don't reply on e-mail. Sent a small little update every once in a while in their OWN forums. A place where not every player is looking at.

My hopes for a real good strategy game on Stadia were high and yes I like to play the game, but because of the super bad support I don't even want to start it up anymore. It's super annoying to see all these announcements on social media, only to never get it.

Take a look at Cyberpunk: why on earth can they release their updates on ALL platforms almost simultaneously and even bring their DLC to Stadia and why is it so extremily HARD for Amplitude?

I wish I had a possibility to get my money back, but companies are companies.

Probably not the best comparison given how Cyberpunk's console launch went...
