As BigBalls put it, we have alleviated these issues quite a bit since the game's release, and as the causes for these desyncs narrow, it becomes more difficult for us to track them down, hence the need for files from every player involved.

When you'll load it, you will be back to the lobby; people will be able to join the game before you restart it.
Per default, the slots are locked, and saved for previous players. If there are still AI, new players can join, as if you were launching a new MP game.
